"Scattered" by Carry Illinois

Updated: Dec 2, 2018

Based out of Austin, TX, Carry Illinois is a force to be reckoned with. Using music as a tool for activism, front-woman Lizzy Lehman is unafraid to speak her mind while continually spreading the message of self-acceptance. Their latest EP, Work in Progress, tackles themes from self-empowerment to loss while delivering a gorgeous brew of genres. The music video features the compelling first track off the album,"Scattered." Lizzy shape shifts throughout the video which reflects the song's motif of continually evolving and putting together the different facets of yourself that may feel scattered at times."Scattered" is a hopeful call to action to give yourself patience and to let go of continually striving for perfection. With the heartfelt lyric "Some day we're gonna see ourselves through" delivered by Lizzy's powerful yet honest vocals, this track will help bring you closer to accepting your true self.
